The 3rd episode "Crew" kind of takes a shot at the studio (or maybe AMPTP) view of the writer in the film-making process.

Overall, I think the series is pretty entertaining.
Agreed. Pretty good satire, with lots of humor. I liked Funding (ep 1) and the bit with the dog (ep 2). Looks like those MAC ad parodies have some life left in them after all.
